Speech-Language Pathologist


Katie DeCoudres received a Bachelors of Science Education with a focus in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Georgia in 2006, and a Masters of Education in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Valdosta State University in 2008. She has experience working with infants, children, adults, and geriatrics in the hospital, school, outpatient clinic, and skilled nursing settings. Katie has had extensive training and experience in treating disorders of cognition accompanied by stroke, dementia, traumatic brain injury and Neurological Disorders such as Parkinson’s Disease, Huntington’s Disease, and Multiple Sclerosis. She managed a rehab department for 4 years, overseeing Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapies as well as communicating with patients, families, nurses, and doctors regarding the care and therapeutic outcomes of short and long-term rehab patients. Katie partnered in program development and led continuing education training seminars for assessment and treatment of cognitive disorders for a large skilled nursing corporation. She has recently focused her efforts on training and experience with treatment of voice and swallowing disorders in all age groups. Katie is a certified provider of Vital Stim Therapy and the Beckman Oral Motor Therapy.
