Angela Gibbs, MEd. CCC-SLP
Angela Gibbs received a B.S. in Elementary Education from Georgia College, Milledgeville, in 1976. In 1979, she received a M.ED in Early Childhood Education from Valdosta State University. She received a Masters of Education in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 1987 from Valdosta State University with an emphasis in Family Based Interventions ages 0-8 years. And in August 2004, she received an ED.S. in Special Education from Valdosta State University. Angela is a former kindergarten teacher with state certification in Early Childhood Education. She also worked as a Georgia certified kindergarten special education teacher for 9 years. She has additional training in literacy interventions including fluency and comprehension with a state certification in reading. She has experience working with pediatric and adult patients in the daycare, school, nursing home, hospital, home health, and outpatient clinic settings. She has extensive work experience with children in the area of early intervention including the Babies Can’t Wait program. Current certifications include The Lindamood-Bell Program and The Beckman Oral Motor Treatment.
